Dr. Aaron Wolf

Owner, Veterinarian

Dr. Wolff's Bio

Dr. Aaron Wolff was born and raised in Herndon, VA, just outside of Washington, D.C. Dr. Wolff has had a love of animals from the start, and knew from a young age that veterinary medicine would be his career. His childhood included a seemingly endless plethora of pets including dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, rabbits and ducklings.

As a graduate student pursuing his degree in veterinary medicine, Dr. Wolff spent his summers performing pro-bono spay and neuter surgeries at Angels of Assisi, a low-cost, no-kill adoption center in Roanoke Virginia. After earning his veterinary degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, Dr. Wolff returned to Northern Virginia to practice. Years later life came full-circle when he returned as a practicing physician to Clocktower Animal Hospital, a popular Northern Virginia hospital where he originally apprenticed as an undergraduate.

In July 2015 Dr. Wolff and his family relocated to North Carolina and purchased (what was then named) the AMC of Garner, now AMC of Garner Veterinary Hospital. In Spring 2016 Dr. Wolff’s love and compassion for animals lead him to pursue and complete his Fear Free Certification, making him one of the first veterinarians in Wake County and surrounding areas to earn the Fear Free Certification.

Dr. Wolff’s professional interests include internal medicine, nutrition, dentistry and physical therapy. He very much enjoys working closely with clients and educating them on areas specific to the needs of their animals. Dr. Wolff has a deep love for animals and firmly believes that all animals deserve love, kindness and exceptional healthcare.

Dr. Wolff and his wife (hospital administrator) Jessica, have two young children: hockey loving and self-proclaimed Puppy Greeter, Ella and her little brother Julian. Dr. Wolff has two much loved (and very spoiled) shelter dogs, Trevi and Turkleton. When Dr. Wolff’s kids and fur babies aren’t getting his undivided attention, you can find him pounding the pavement as he trains for his next marathon or chasing down hockey scores.

Dr. Allie Barnes

Associate Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Barnes' Bio

Dr. Allie Barnes was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, but despite being raised in Gamecock Country, she made what she says was “the BEST decision” to attend Clemson University for her undergraduate degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences.

From there Dr. Barnes attended Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated magna cum laude in 2018. While in vet school she met her husband Ron, who was in Army flight school at Fort Rucker at the time.

After graduation, the Army sent Dr. Barnes and her husband, Chief Barnes, to Fort Hood Texas. Upon his retirement from the military, Dr. Barnes and Chief Barnes decided to move closer to family; which is what brought them to Garner!

Dr. Barnes has two fur babies; a German shepherd mix named Ranger and a beagle, by the name of Hank.

At work Dr. Barnes enjoys preventative care and working with wildlife and some exotic species. Outside of work Dr. Barnes enjoys hiking, camping, horseback riding, and Clemson football (“I’m a diehard Clemson fan!”).

Mrs. Jessica Wolff

Hospital Administrator

Jessica's Bio
Born and raised in Rhode Island, Jessica met both Drs. Wolff and Dzombar as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech (go Hokies!). Jessica and Dr. Wolff married in 2010 (with Dr. Dzombar as a bridesmaid), and settled in Northern Virginia, about 45 minutes outside of DC.

In Northern Virginia Jessica worked with the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) in the Marketing, Communications and Publications department. While there she served as the society’s Marketing Manager where she was responsible for managing marketing strategy, implementation and support across the areas of – publications and products, SIR Annual Scientific Meeting, stand-alone meeting marketing and SIR trade agreements. Jessica also served in an advisory capacity for SIR non-dues revenue programs, including advertising sales and corporate support initiatives.

In 2013 Jessica was awarded the SIR Excellence Award for her work in supporting the Society’s values of Leadership, Patient Care, Excellence and Ethics and for modeling the initiative, commitment, collaboration, professionalism and attitude that contributes positively to the culture of SIR.

Jessica’s personal interests include traveling, painting, art museums, exploring local restaurants, all things BRAVO and squeezing in as much family time as possible.

Jessica and Dr. Wolff consider their crowning achievements to be their two young, high energy, puppy-loving kids. Ella, self proclaimed official puppy greeter for the hospital, and juggernaut Jude. Both Ella and Jude LOVE visiting the hospital and saying hello to every animal and human in sight. We apologize in advance for their lack of volume control 😉
